Three Courses, One Philosophy
Inspired by the Japanese Way of Early Education
Every Child Grows at a Different Speed
Even if children are born in the same year, the age difference between them can be as much as twelve months.
For a one-year-old child, that difference can mean almost twice as much life experience. In the same classroom, children may grow in very different ways. Language skills, body control, emotions, and social skills can grow at very different speeds.
At AIAI, we do not think these differences are problems.
We believe they are part of each child’s unique character.
This belief comes from the Japanese way of early education, which respects each child while guiding the whole group.
Based on Japanese early childhood education—where group harmony and personal care are both important—and where daily practice, clear routines, and steady effort shape strong character, we offer three courses: NURSERY, STEP, and PLUS.
NURSERY Course
Growing Together, Preparing for School and Society
The NURSERY course values group life.
In the Japanese educational approach, children first learn how to live and grow together.
Through daily activities, children learn cooperation, kindness, communication, and responsibility. They learn how to live as members of a group. This is very important for elementary school and for life in society.
At the same time, NURSERY also prepares children for school. Through learning activities that match their age, children build early reading and math skills. They also develop good study habits. These help them move smoothly into elementary school.
Teachers watch each child carefully and give kind support in the group setting.
Japanese early education places strong value on careful observation and patient guidance.
Each child grows together with others while receiving personal attention.
NURSERY is not only a place to learn skills.
It is a “second home”, where children begin to understand their role in society.
In a warm and organized community, children learn belonging, respect for others, and shared responsibility.
These are core values in the Japanese method of education.
Here, they feel that they are important members of a larger group.
STEP Course
One Step at a Time Toward Personal Growth
Growth happens step by step.
The Japanese way of learning teaches that steady daily effort builds true ability.
The STEP course focuses more on individual learning and school subjects. Programs are planned to match each child’s level of development. This allows them to move forward at their own speed.
While NURSERY builds a strong base through group life and balanced preparation, STEP focuses more on clear personal progress and deeper learning.
Every lesson is a step toward better understanding.
Every success is a step toward confidence.
Every challenge overcome is a step toward independence.
STEP is a place where children move forward with care and encouragement.
Through repeated practice and structured learning, they build strong academic skills the Japanese way.
They are supported, challenged, and given the power to grow.
PLUS Course
Adding What Is Needed, Expanding Possibilities
Some children need more than adjustment. They need something added.
The PLUS course gives special and personal support to children who find group activities difficult. This may be due to differences in development, sensory needs, communication challenges, or traits related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, or other developmental differences.
We do not focus on what children cannot do.
We look at their strengths and add what is needed for growth and participation.
Plus means adding new skills.
Plus means building inner strength.
Plus means opening more opportunities.
In the Japanese educational model, every child is carefully guided so they can take part in the group with confidence.
Through clear daily routines and warm relationships, children slowly build the communication skills, emotional control, and daily living skills they need to take part in society with confidence.
One Philosophy, Three Paths
AIAI’s early childhood education is based on a clear and strong belief:
“To create learning environments full of smiles and energy, where as many children as possible can feel the joy of growing the wonderful abilities that all human beings are born with.”
We believe every child is born with great potential.
Our role is not to force growth, but to help bring out what is already inside each child.
By combining group harmony, careful personal attention, daily routines, and warm emotional support, following the proven principles of Japanese early education, AIAI creates a place where every child can move forward—step by step, plus what is needed.
Growth is not about making everyone the same.
It is about respecting each child’s natural abilities and helping them grow within a caring community.
That is what makes AIAI’s NURSERY, STEP, and PLUS a true expression of the Japanese educational tradition.
